Photos!
Keke.. think I'm addicted to upload photos on my blog... ^___^
Me and Dear on the plane, on our way to Bangkok! Hmm..can anyone teach me how to photoshot away my bug bunny teeth? Sobzzz

Me, Cousin Ester and Niece Jessica at Cousin Daniel's wedding. The girls are such Darlings!

That's my niece in front. She either have this "BLUR" look or fake smile (above) when she takes photo. Haiz...

Me at Singapore Garden Fest. Keke, finally can wear my boots again!
Me " invented" a new way of taking photo of ourselves.
Step 1: Guy to hold the camera in front of him
Step 2: Gal to position the camera to capture image
Step 3: Guy to remain in position, and Gal to stand beside Guy
Step 4: Smile and " Click"
See, no need to ask passerby to take photo liao. So much convenient! =P

What's cheap and good past time? Haha...visit a exhibition using student pass!!
Went to the Singapore Garden Festival at Suntec today. Got the tickets at $5 ( student rate), so we saved around $14 for both of us, coz adult fare was $12 each mah. And also coz the exhibition stretched over 2 floor, it easily took up almost 2 hours to complete everything. Anyway, took some " I think kinda artistic" pictures for sharing:

Orchids
*******

Cactus
*******

Grasshopper on a bed of roses and apples
*******
After that, went and met up with the boys for dinner at Sizzler. Dun think will ever go back there again. Firstly, now too old, go eat buffet ----> BUAI TAHAN. I just cant eat as much as I used to eat. Or perhaps now go for quality food rather than quantity?? Secondly, it was too expensive!! For the salad buffet only, it cost $24.99. So we ended up paying $35 each, since it was not worth to just get the salad buffet, we paid more to get the full meal. DUBZ. Not kinda worth it considering the buffet spread that we were having was just vege, pasta, campbelle soup and watery ice-cream. And the service was kinda disappointing. And the place closed at 9pm! For goodness sake, where got resturants closed so early one??

Proudly Presenting My Xmas Feast ^^

Trio Mitili
Trio of half shelled NZ mussels
This is make up of 3 mussels cooked in different ways. The first one on the left is baked in cheese. The second one in the middle is cooked with a tinge of parsley. The last one on the furthest right is cooked with white wine.
***********

Beet Borscht & Asparagus Cappuccino
Basil Alcove’s specialty soup
Dun be mistaken! This is not a dessert, but a soup! Real cool, right? The beetroot at the bottom is warm, mix with cold asparagus foam on top. You can gulp it with one shot, or can use the small teaspoon to slowly enjoy. The bread are nicely toasted with spicy tomato cubes on top. Personally, me find this soup a bit weird but cool concept. Likes the cold foam though.
In case you people dunno what beetroot, it's a kind of root vege that is similar with turnip. Take a look below:
The chef is really attentive. He overheard the waiter explaining to us what's beetroot , and so he gives us a few cubes soaked in vingar to try the real taste of beetroot. It is crunchy, with a taste of sweetness. Nice for salad. Not too bad.
***********

Tacchino Lampone
Pan fried turkey with baby spinach with raspberry walnut yoghurt What Xmas without turkey?? So the chef tries to minimise the tough taste of turkey meat with sweet raspberry yoghurt sauce. Nice! Love the sauce, it's delicious!
***********

Mescolanza Funghi
Assortment of Mushrooms tinted with pink pepper sauce Next, we have mushrooms. A bit plain, but I guess it must be expensive mushrooms! So who cares, just eat la..
***********

Strawberry Sorbetto
Strawberry sherbet topped with home grown mint pesto With all the " appetizers", our taste bud is contaminated!! So this cool dish is suppose to help us to clear the taste bud so that we can enjoy our main course better.
P.S Frankly speaking, a bit full by now and we have yet to eat main course!! ^_^
***********
Cod Vaschetta Cotto
with beetroot caviar and balsamic onions Junwei's fav ----> Cod Fish! It's really fresh. Smooth and sweet. It's so goody that the meat will just slip down your throat. A pity that it's only a small piece..haha, me greedy la

Lobster Thermidor
Oven-baked lobster seasoned with balsamic, garlic and basil topped with cheese; soaked in cream sauce
Accompanied by a shot of Kailua, Granmania and Baileys My fav! Lobster!!!Well, as you can see there's a small cup of liquor on the plate. You are suppose to gulp down and get drunk so that the other person can eat your lobster! !! Nah, me no stoopid. Me wanna eat lobster!! So me just cut small slice and dip the lobster meat into the cup so that the meat will have a taste of the triplet. I think I still prefer lobster with cheese, not a hardcore fan of liquor. Anyway, it's just simply scrumptious with both way of eating.
***********

Torta Formaggio Mango
Deconstructed mango cheese cake with warm baileys Finally, the REAL dessert! It's " cheese cake" without baking. To me, it's taste like tirumisu, perhaps due to the addition of baileys. Well, can only find mango cubes, whipped cream and baileys. Where's the cheesecake??? The sweet whipped cream complement the bitter sweet baileys. Overall, quite a nice ending to our fantastic meal!
***********
Caffè or Tea
Lastly, a nice cup of tea with traditional sugar cubes to finish off. How's that sound?
P.S You might wanna try to directly eat the sugar cube and allow the cube slowly melt inside your mouth.
So, how much do ya think these are worth?? Keke... Make a guess!
TO BE CONTINUED...

Candy Canes

Do you know what this candy cane symbolizes??
Letter " J " : Jesus Christ who came to save man from their sins
Wide Red Stripes : Blood that Jesus shed on man's behalf. Jesus died for our sins, in order that He might bring us to God. He dies, was buried and was raised on the third day.
White Stripes : Jesus' virgin birth and His pure, sinless life. Though Jesus was tempted just as we are, He never sin.
Narrow Red Stripes : Jesus' stripes, or scars, which He got when He was arrested and whipped.
Peppermint Flavour : Similar to hyssop used in the old times for purification and sacrifice

MERRY XMAS!!!
It's end of the year and my favourite PH again! Time really flies man... buai tahan. Now I'm celebrating my 26th Xmas liao... Sob Sob...It's a mixture of happiness with a tinge of sadness...
But guess Xmas is always fun...because of the pressie part?? Well, dun deny lah. Dun tell me you really enjoy Xmas because it's the time of giving and sharing and celebrating God's love and sacrifice for us. That's so hypocrite!! We shouldnt be waiting for that one particular day ( 25 Dec) to appreciate all the above rite? Least, that's my opinion... I still think GOD IS GREAT de..
To me, Xmas is about family gathering, friends gathering, pressies and LOTZ of goodies!!
I mean when else can you DEMAND for present other than bdae and Xmas?? I always like to receive pressie..not so much about the content. But the process of receiving and unwrapping the pressie and TA TA ( Quoted from my previous blog: Gers love SuRpRisES!!) And buying pressies for families and friends is fun as well. You will try to think what the person will like and hunt for it and that gives excuses to go SHOPPING!! It's called 1 stone kills 2 tweeties... =p
This year xmas time seems more exciting because:
1) My overseas relatives are back! When we are young, I have this uncle who always act as the Santa Claus in the family. But after he emigrates to USA, we dun seem to celebrate Xmas as an extended family. But this year, we gonna have a celebration at my newly-wed cousin's house wih all the relatives and of coz pressie for the young kids! Ha, but I got to miss it .... It's a season of " sacrificing" and I'm giving it a miss because of my dear.... Dear, rem I sacrificed for you so you better give me BIG BIG pressie!!

If I'm a guy...
10 romantics/ heart breaking things I will do
1) " Suffocated" the gal with balloons and flowers. Ya, old fashion but it still works faithfully. Bright colours and fragrance have amazing therapy effect, so nothing beats more than a smile from her.
2) Whip up a super sweet dessert. Gals have weak points when it comes to desserts. They could be swallowing down bottles of slimming pills, running like hell on the trackmills etc BUT they could never resist desserts. Not to mention, one that is prepared by loved one.
3) Remember every single things about her. From major events like birthday, anniversary right down to her best fren's doggy birthday. Gals look at detailed things, and it shows a lot when a guy can remember everything about her and things that matters to her.
4) Surprises her! Gals love surprises! May it be just waiting for her at her doorstep, just to say hi and send her back into the house, or a love letter to her on just any ordinary day.
5) Sing her a song. It doesnt matter how the song turn out to be. It might sound hilarious. It might break the glass. But the tune will definitely made its way right through the gal's heart and stay there forever.
6) KIV
7) KIV
8) Bring her to a resort island, on a sunset evening, facing the sea, sky, background playing her favourite love song. Invite her to a dance and whispering sweet words, and ultimately propose to her. It's an expression of commitment to take care of her forever.
9) Remember every single bit of what bring us together and express the love and care through out the marriage life. Difficult task. People tend to forget and neglect this when more commitments from family, work, children wear us out. Difficult but what else will bring us together then?
10) Holding hands to hands together, when hairs are white, faces are wrinkled, limbs are trembling. That's the evidence of everlasting love and commitment. A promise made since the day we meet and fall in love with each other.
